We are currently recruiting a Qualified Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians across these 3 sites. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant and production lines to ensure we maintain maximum levels of our output from these machines.


⦁ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Management role or similar role
⦁ Excellent leadership and management abilities
⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
⦁ Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations
⦁ Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
⦁ Competent in problem solving, team building planning and decision making
⦁ Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
⦁ Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical hydraulic or mechanical systems
⦁ Allocate workload and supervise the team
⦁ Track expenses and oversee the budget for the maintenance department.
⦁ Plan and oversee all repair and planned maintenance for all machines across the 3 sites.
⦁ Maintain maintenance logs and report daily activity.
⦁ Ensure that the quarries/factory’s associated plant is fit for purpose, and to provide proactive support / solutions when and where required.
⦁ Create and implement maintenance procedures.
⦁ Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates
⦁ Work with the stores personnel to oversee equipment stocks and place orders for new stocks when necessary.
⦁ Ensure health and safety policies are complied with company procedures.

Kilkenny Limestone Quarries Ltd who operate three quarries and factories in the Carlow/Kilkenny region are now recruiting for both a Senior Diesel Mechanic and a Diesel Mechanic.
They will both join a current team of eight personnel in the Maintenance Team across the three sites

Responsibilities include:
⦁ Fault finding and repair of mobile plant
⦁ Fault finding and repair of fixed production lines
⦁ Maintaining detailed records of maintenance
⦁ Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
⦁ Ensuring strategic parts are always in stock for machines and production lines on sites
⦁ Planning of preventative maintenance
⦁ Formal training in automotive engineering or time served
⦁ Complying with the Health & Safety Policies of Kilkenny Limestone Quarries Ltd
⦁ Senior Diesel Mechanic applicants to have at least 5 years’ experience.

Competitive Rates Offered.

⦁ Responsible for general maintenance.
⦁ Fault finding and repairs of electro mechanical production equipment in a high volume factory environment.
⦁ The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of maintenance processes and methods.
⦁ Knowledge of Electrical systems up to 400v, pneumatic systems and mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, etc.
⦁ Knowledge of hydraulics, PLC’s, Automation systems, safety systems, IT skills, problem solving skills, would be a distinct advantage.
⦁ Ability to work as part of a team
⦁ Ensure health and safety policies are complied with company procedures.

Kilkenny Limestone Quarries are looking to recruit a Safety Officer to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.
As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.
The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.
Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

⦁ Proven experience as a health and safety officer
⦁ Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
⦁ Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
⦁ Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
⦁ Excellent organizational and motivational skills
⦁ Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
⦁ Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
⦁ BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
⦁ Valid qualification in occupational health and safety

General Operatives needed for factory floor.

No experience required.

Manual handling & Forklift experience an advantage.
